What is a film fixer?
A film fixer is the local specialist who makes an international production possible. When a brand, broadcaster, or director brings a shoot from the UK, USA, or elsewhere to France or Monaco, they need someone on the ground who knows the permits, the people, the locations, and the process. That is what a fixer does.
The fixer handles everything between "we want to shoot in France" and "we're ready to roll" — location authorisations, crew contracts, equipment logistics, transport, and the dozens of local requirements that vary by city, region, and production type. Without a competent fixer, international productions lose days — and sometimes budgets — to administrative delays and unfamiliar processes.
Orangefilms has been the on-the-ground fixer for international productions in France since 1994 — navigating the permit systems, building the crew relationships, and opening the doors that incoming teams cannot open on their own. Over 500 productions across France, Monaco, and Belgium, for clients including Apple, Netflix, BBC, ITV, Google, and Ralph Lauren.
