Few countries offer Germany's combination of range, infrastructure and reliability. Germany's production infrastructure is among the strongest in Europe: world-class studios including Studio Babelsberg near Berlin, the oldest large-scale film studio in the world, and Bavaria Film in Munich, alongside the Hyperbowl in Penzing near Munich, one of the most powerful virtual production (LED volume) studios in Europe. Add deep post-production capacity and a large pool of experienced, fully bilingual (German and English) crew, and Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne and Frankfurt each support established production communities.

Funding & Incentives
Germany operates federal and regional funding programmes for film and high-end television production. Eligibility depends heavily on the type of project: feature films and scripted series may qualify, while commercials generally do not. Accessing any funding requires a German production partner, so we assess each production on its specifics and advise on what, if anything, may be available.
